Privacy Policy

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
• Content you create — home and room details, inventory items, notes, and 3D room scans.
• Photos and files — images of items and rooms, receipts, warranties, and documents you upload.
• Camera and LiDAR data (iOS app) — when you scan a room, the app uses your device camera and LiDAR sensor to build a 3D model. Scan processing that produces the room geometry happens on your device.
• Payment information — if you subscribe, billing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
• Technical data — basic information needed to operate the service securely (e.g., authentication tokens).

We use your information to provide and operate Nookfolio: to store and display your inventory and tours, run AI-assisted item recognition, process subscriptions, send service-related email, and keep your account secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

When you ask Nookfolio to identify an item from a photo, a downscaled copy of that image is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for analysis. These requests run on a no-training, minimal-retention tier; we do not send your name or address with them. Room-scan geometry is generated on your device.

We share data only with service providers that help us run Nookfolio, under agreements that limit their use of it:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Anthropic — AI image analysis (see above).
• Stripe — subscription billing.
• Resend — transactional and reminder email.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. If a household member is invited to a home, they can see that home’s contents per the access level you grant.

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export everything you’ve stored at any time, and you can delete your account from Settings — this removes your records and associated images. Sharing links can be revoked at any time.

Photos are stripped of GPS/EXIF metadata on your device before upload, stored privately with short-lived signed links, and protected by default-deny, per-account database access. More detail is on our Security & Privacy page.

Nookfolio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data from within the app. For privacy requests or questions, contact us at the address below.
